BitPim stores its settings for the current user. If you have multiple users, and login to your operating system as seperate users, then it will work fine. (On Windows XP, use the windows key together with L to switch users). This is the recommended way of doing things.
If you only login to your computer as one user, but would like to have seperate BitPim data settings for multiple users, then you will need to alter the settings before each launch of BitPim. Future releases will make this a lot easier.
Linux and Mac users can alter the contents of the .bitpim
file in their
home directory before launch.
Windows users should do the following steps:
REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BitPim] "path"="C:\\My Documents\\johnsmith\\bitpim" "lgvx4400port"="auto"
regedit /s johnsmith.reg "c:Program FilesBitPimbitpim.exe"
